ANDY'S ANSWER: It's quite possible that your period could start at school. If you think it's getting close to the time, you could be prepared by wearing or carrying pantiliners in your purse. They are very thin and discreet and will save you from embarrassment if your period should start while you are not at home. You can even make some homemade pads of your own by taking some squares of absorbant material and folding it into the size of a pad to fit lenthwise between your underwear and you, so it will catch the first signs of a period. (This is what women used to do before commercial pads became available.)
