#17 My brother is always blackmailing me with my crush to my parents and teasing me everyday that I like him, what do I do to stop it?
My little brother is 2 years younger than me and he knows about my crush because he read my diary. My crush is a family friend so he's both my brothers' and my friend. He won't stop teasing me about him everyday and he even made a song about me and my crush. Also he keeps blackmailing me everyday, he always says stuff like "if you don't do this I'll tell mom and dad about your crush". He also already mentioned him 4 times to my mom but he didn't tell her I like him. How can I make him stop doing that?
ANDY'S ANSWER: There is no way you are going to stop your brother from teasing you about something he knows bugs or embarrasses you. I would suggest you take some steps to deflect him to other things. One way would be to start writing things in your diary that are complete works of fiction. Like you overheard your parents saying they were going to buy you a new car when you got your license. Or you wrote to (celebrity of your choice) and they had written back that you were the kind of girl they were looking for and wanted you to come to LA to meet them, etc, etc. You get the idea.
Start a new diary for yourself for your real items and hide it better next time.
