What is hpv

ANDY'S ANSWERS:

HPV stands for Human Papilomavirus. It is one of the most common sexually transmitted infections worldwide. This virus (which has over a 100 different varieties) can affect your body in different ways, from anogenital warts to cancer.

Most sexually active people who do not practise monogamy will get HPV sometime in their life. Using condoms can reduce your risk of contracting HPV, but waiting until you are older to have sex and then choosing a partner who has had limited other partners will also reduce your risk.
