An important message regarding this year's contest theme: Our theme is VOLUNTEERING - MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
We are looking for PSAs that will encourage youth to make a difference in their community by volunteering. Although examples of volunteer activities can be used, the PSA should not be promoting any one particular cause or organization. The idea is to encourage youth volunteering activities as a whole and show how one's community can be improved by doing so. If you wish to detail volunteering for specific organizations, you must include at least three different organizations in your PSA with each example receiving equal attention. Entries which do not comply with the theme will not be vetted.
Please choose a unique title for your PSA (Do not use the contest theme as your title.)
Show us your creativity by creating a compelling YouTube video that is educational and/or promotes positive behaviours regarding "VOLUNTEERING - Make a difference!" in keeping with the principles of Teenage Survival
There are no restrictions regarding presentation, format or specific subject matter with the exception that it must be appropriate material for all viewing audiences, comply with the contest theme criteria as stated above and conform to YouTube's posting guidelines.
Videos can be funny or serious, real or animated. They should be a minimum of 30 seconds and a maximum of 3 minutes long. The floor is wide open for you to show your ingenuity and ability to both entertain and educate us. The best video will be chosen by popular vote from the public, so once your entry has been accepted, promote your video to your family and friends. Any person with a valid email address can register as a user to vote at Teenage Survival.
Registered users can preview the submitted entries ahead of time and will have their own private rating sheet. Personal ratings are only for the convenience of the User to assess each video as they watch them and will not be accessible to the public, nor will they affect the outcome of the actual voting. Registered users will be notified by email when new entries have been approved and also when the actual voting begins.
Each registered user can vote for up to 5 different entries per day, every day between June 3, 2013 - June 23, 2013 (MT)
The entry with the most votes will win $5000 CDN, split 50/50 between the person/team that submitted the video and the registered school that was chosen and named on the entry.
